GMod Comic Fundamentals: Isolation Using Masks

After talking with some folks, I thought I’d make a tutorial on some basic editing. I consider this my “bread and butter” technique since I’ve used this in almost every single comic and poster I make. I hope you all find it useful.

This is a wonderful tool and something I wish I had thought to do ages ago.
Functions a little different in the program I use, but the mechanic of it in Gmod initially is wonderful and I really wish it were more well known.
Thank you so much for sharing!

Great stuff! I do it slightly differently (I color the character model instead with a high contrasting color to the background), but the result is the same.

One tip though: don’t use Magic Wand, use Color Range instead, it’s much more accurate:

Wow! These types of tutorials are great for us budding comic-makers. I like that you show several examples too, putting the tutorial into practice inflames the imagination - I want a cool 60’s style image now!
